Η εξάπλωση ενός χρηματοοικονομικού μέσου (μετοχές, forex, κλπ), αναφέρεται στη διαφορά τιμής μεταξύ της τιμής Ζήτησης και της τιμής Προσφοράς. Το Spread είναι ένας τύπος κόστους συναλλαγής, μαζί με προμήθειες, εάν υπάρχουν. Λόγω του spread, κάθε συναλλαγή θα ξεκινήσει με απώλεια, επειδή αγοράζετε στην τιμή ζήτησης και πωλείτε στην τιμή προσφοράς.
