Pip na forexu znamená nejmenší změnu ceny, jakou může měnový pár dosáhnout, s výjimkou zlomků pipu nebo „pipettek“.
U většiny měnových párů je 1 pip 0,0001; pro měnové páry s japonským jenem, jako je USD/JPY, je 1 pip 0,01. Při obchodování s kovy je 1 pip pro zlato a stříbro 0,01.
Když se pár EUR/USD posune výše z 1,0925 na 1,0926, je změna 1 pip. Při pětimístném stanovení cen by se pohyb EUR/USD z 1,09255 na 1,09260 vyjádřil jako půl pipu.
